Barrington

While only a 15-minute drive from downtown Providence, Barrington is more than just a suburb, it’s small-town living at its best. Located along the northern edge of Narragansett Bay and crisscrossed by two rivers, the town overflows with luxurious waterfront estates as well as homes in every price range. The East Bay Bike Path runs through the town linking Providence to Bristol. The town is also home to the Barrington Yacht Club and the Rhode Island Country Club.

Barrington’s school system consistently ranks at the top of the list for Rhode Island creating a draw for households with school-age children. The town center offers coffee shops, restaurants, markets, boutiques, and other services. Neighborhoods include Alfred Drowne, Rumstick, Hampden Meadows, Roberta Plat, and others, all within biking distance of the town center. Homes for sale in Barrington consist mostly of single-family dwellings constructed after 1950, although some Victorians do exist. From Ranches and Contemporaries to Colonials, there is something for everyone in Barrington.
