Middletown

Middletown is surrounded by three bodies of water: Sakonnet River, Rhode Island Sound, and Narragansett Bay, offering lovely areas to fish, swim, boat, surf, and enjoy the water. There are beachside houses, but also farmland residences and traditional neighborhood homes ranging in style from Classic New England to Modern.

Sachuest Town Beach – or “Second Beach” to the locals – runs a little over a mile and sits between First and Third Beach. Nearby is Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge which offers 242 acres of land for visitors to enjoy. Local farms provide the best in local produce, while historic farms such as Prescott Farm give a glimpse of the rural Middletown of yesteryear with its 1812 windmill, Revolutionary War guardhouse, and Colonial-style garden and architecture.
